ussia and Lombardy: a match made in heaven

Russia and Lombardy have been successfully working together for some time. The November 23rd meeting in Milan helped consolidate this partnership even further.

The event focused on Aerospace Gateway’s project to bring the region’s SMEs to MAKS 2019.
Dr. Boccalari, in charge of Lombardy’s productive activities for internationalization, showed great interest in the project. SMEs, particularly in the space and aeronautic field, are already closely monitored and helped by the region through a series of funds and activities aimed at internationalization and global market expansion. One of the targeted markets is, of course, the Russian market.
AG’s idea, presented and appreciated at the event, is to bring Italian SMEs to MAKS 2019. Not only will we get them to go, we will be: prepping them beforehand, scheduling adequate B2Bs for them, and finding the traits that make each SME interesting for the Russian industry.
To further clarify the opportunities that MAKS can offer, Aviasalon spoke and illustrated in detail the international salon.
Rostec’s representative, then, expressed total trust in AG, the companies, clusters and regional authorities: in their ability to accomplish this project and to strengthen the already great relations between the two countries.
Finally, Dr. C. Mona, representing the Lombardy cluster, praised AG’s work, thanks to which her company was able to go to the previous MAKS edition.

A Q&A closed the event, so as to address any doubts regarding logistics, bureaucracy, organization, or the process proposed by AG and their plan to make the best of this opportunity. Interest was high and enthusiasm through the roof.

The event can be said a success. As they said their goodbyes, the different parties committed to help carrying out this project.
Rostec plans to participate in another meeting sometime between January and February, where other important Russian aeronautic companies will speak as well.

Russia and Lombardy parted as old friends. The success of the projects seems, after this meeting, even more achievable.
