ome – The Ministry of Economic Development has published the new tender for the financing of research and development projects in the aerospace sector (law 808/85). Projects may be submitted until 30 September 2017.
The ban finances industrial research projects and experimental development in the civil or dual sectors, characterized by substantial product innovations in the following areas:

• Rotary wing aircraft;
• Fixed wing aircraft: regional transport aircraft, training aircraft, aircraft for general aviation;
• Aerostructures;
• Components and propulsion systems;
• Communication and on-board systems.

Companies that mainly perform industrial activities in the aerospace sector can access the ban and that in the two years prior to the submission of the application they had an average turnover of at least 50% for large enterprises, or at least 25% for SMEs, from the reconstruction, transformation and maintenance of aircraft, engines, aerospace, mechanical and electronic systems and equipment.
